With a successful background in hosting events that began back in 1961, it is no wonder why RAI Amsterdam is such a popular exhibition location amongst many. Their mission is simple - “To bring people together in the physical and virtual worlds, crossing borders and providing inspiration” and they follow it with a passion. RAI hosts over 70 trade shows and 50 conferences, welcoming around 2 million people a year. In fact, in February 2001 they hit a milestone and welcomed their 75 millionth visitor. Some of the popular events organised in the exhibition area are Art Amsterdam, AutoRAI, Horecava, HISWA, and IBC.
The exhibition complex is the largest in the Netherlands. It spans across 112,200 m² and it consists of 22 conference rooms and 11 multi-functional halls, the largest of which, Europahal RAI, can sit up to 12,900 people. Amongst the other features are a concert theatre, a musical hall, and an underground parking area that can accommodate up to 4,000 vehicles. The facilities of the venue make it the perfect place to organize conferences, exhibitions, theatre shows, meetings and anything in between. All spaces are highly-customizable, air-conditioned and multifunctional, meaning they can be modified to suit your specific needs. RAI’s location in the Zuidas business district in Amsterdam allows for easy access by plane, car, public transport or even a bicycle.
